RTS Training’s HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course gives you the skills and knowledge to recognise and assess a cardiac emergency, call for medical assistance and perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures which will increase the chance of survival for a person who is unconscious and not breathing normally.

Online learning followed by face to face assessment.
Online Component
This self-paced online component takes around 1 hour to complete, depending on your level of experience. It covers the theory components of the course through a series of video and online theory questions. You may choose to complete this during one or a number of sessions. You can also review the online theory after the course if you wish. We recommend that this component be completed using Google Chrome.
Please be aware that the online component must be completed prior to attending the face to assessment.
Face to Face Assessment
This part of the course will take around 1 hours to complete. During this time you will cover the following assessment areas.

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is the nationally recognised unit that covers the skills and knowledge required to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants. At RTS Training, you’ll learn practical CPR skills for adults and infants, including how to use an AED and manage the situation until emergency services arrive.
Yes. HLTAID009 is a nationally accredited unit of competency. RTS Training delivers training and assessment on behalf of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909, and once you successfully complete the course requirements, you’ll receive a nationally recognised CPR certificate.
The course is designed to be quick, practical and easy to fit around your schedule. You’ll complete around 1 hour of self-paced online learning before attending our Osborne Park centre for an approximately 1 hour face-to-face practical assessment.
CPR has an industry-recommended renewal period of 12 months. Many workplaces, industries and site requirements also expect CPR to be refreshed annually, so it’s a good idea to renew your HLTAID009 certificate every year. We run CPR Refresher courses every week day at RTS Training.
Same-day certificate issue may be available once you have successfully completed and passed all course requirements. This is ideal if you need your CPR certificate quickly for work, compliance, site access or study requirements.
Your face-to-face practical assessment is held at RTS Training’s Osborne Park training centre in Perth. The location is convenient for students across Perth who need a fast, practical CPR course with online learning completed beforehand.
Yes. You can complete CPR as a standalone course or as part of selected first aid courses with RTS Training. If you also need a full first aid certificate, enrolling in a Provide First Aid course may be the better option, as CPR is included as part of that training.
